Stephen attended St. Louis Elementary and Mullen High School where he was a member of the Speech and Debate Team that participated in national competitions. He graduated from Stanford University with distinction in 1987 and began a 15-year career with Trammell Crow Company as a Financial Analyst. Later he was credited with outstanding performances as the local CFO, and as a Partner. There he participated in numerous developments and acquisitions including the joint-venture that developed the Museum Lofts adjacent to the Denver Art Museum. In January, 2006 he and partner Garrett Baum started Urban Frontier to pursue acquisitions and developments such as the Green Gables Country Club redevelopment, Children's Hospital Northern Ambulatory Center, redevelopment of Flatirons Theatre in Boulder, and numerous other sites. Moyski was a former president of National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, the 2009-10 Chair of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Young Presidents Organization, and was active in Urban Land Institute, the Colorado Starlight Children's Foundation, Colorado Business Community for the Arts, and other charities.
