Obituary of Nathan Thomas Martinez
Nathan Thomas Martinez, 49, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on July 3rd 2024.
Nathan was born on April 25th, 1975 in Denver. Nathan lived a challenging life because of an accident where he suffered a traumatic brain injury when he was 12. He had to learn how to do everything all over again, such as bodily functions, talking, and walking. He managed to accomplish many things that nobody ever thought he would be able to do.
Nathan graduated from Berthoud High School in 1994. After graduating from high school he went on to get a certificate in bookkeeping, then started his first job at Sears Department Store. Nathan was not able to keep the job because it was beyond his capabilities, however
he gave it his best effort.
Nathan met the Mother of his only child, Patricia in 2001 and his son Gabriel, was born the following year. Although his relationship with Patricia did not work out, he loved Gabriel dearly. He did his absolute best to be a father to him.
In approximately 2015, Nathan began going to the KADEP day program at the MS Center. He really enjoyed the friendships he developed there. He was a very good friend and had an innate ability to understand what others were going through when most people could not.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the MS center, an organization that Nathan got a lot of value from. (https://mscenter.org/donate/)
