I sat next to Laura and Norm for 10 years at Brownstein. I always left late and spent many a night speaking with Laura. We always laughed, and she was always so sweet and good to me. We exchanged many stories. My favorite memory of Laura is when we were both working on a Saturday and she gave me the firm's Broncos tickets. It was Rosh Hashanah and I told her David and my son Adam would go Sunday, but that I of course couldn't go because I had to go home to make Ratatouille for Rosh Hashanah. Our family was celebrating at a friend's house and her husband was editor and chief of Cooking Light and he assigned us ratatouille. I emailed Laura saying "who the fuck eats ratatouille on Rosh Hashanah" but I hit reply to all on her initial firm wide email regarding the Broncos tickets. She cracked up and I never heard the end of it, but it made for a good story. I will miss her a lot. She was a kind, good and hard working soul that was lost too early in life, Ana Tenzer

Laura was my first cousin on my mother's side. Her dad and my mom were brother and sister. She and I were the only granddaughters of Marshall and Ruth Bennett of Valley Center, KS. I am a widow, caring for my special needs son (Angelman Syndrome). Circumstances such as mine, prevent us from traveling to see people we love and care about. I loved Laura dearly, and words cannot adequately describe the sadness I feel over her death. She was a free spirit-type of person with a kind and tender heart. To know her was to love her. I'm sorry that she will not be buried in Kansas, near her grandparents who loved her dearly, and whom she also loved dearly. But I trust they are enjoying each other's company now in heaven.

Laura was an incredible woman with a perspective and intelligence that was evident in all she did. I had the good fortune to work with her and to watch her dogs on one of the rare occasions she took time away for herself. I send my deepest condolences to her family and friends as I know this is a deep loss felt by all. Thank you, Laura, for the life lessons I learned from you. Rest In Peace.
