Hy and I were facilitators (teachers) in VIVA!, the University of Denver learning-in- retiremant organization. We co-facilitated a course "The History of American Foreign Policy", even though neither of us were experts on the subject. Hy was a joy to work with because he was bright, warm, and a good friend. He enriched my life for the 10+ years that we knew each other. When he spent the last few years in Pittsburg, he told me that he really apreciated the kindness of his daughters.
