Obituary of Laura Bauman
Laura Bauman. On Jan. 18, Laura Bauman allowed herself to let go after battling brain cancer for the last 17 months. She was 53 years old. Laura served as AARP's Community Outreach Associate State Director, a position she held with distinction since 1994. Laura is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Steve Wilson, beloved children, Miles and Schuyler Wilson, devoted parents, Edith and Sam Bau­man of Louisville, KY, sister Lisa Bau­man (Greg Nunnally) and brother Nick (Jan) Bauman and nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebra­tion of Laura's Life, Friday, Feb. 3rd at 4 pm at First Plymouth Congrega­tional Church UCC, 3501 S. Colorado Blvd, Englewood, CO 80113. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations may be made in Laura's memory to either First Plymouth Church, to create a labyrinth in Lau­ra's memory, or The Colorado Neu­rological Institute, Center for Brain & Spinal Tumors (701E. Hampden Avenue #415, Englewood, CO 80113, Attn: Lorre Gibson) for the Heart­Strings Project.
